Getting your microblading done is just the first step. What you do during the healing process determines how your brows look for the next 12 to 18 months. Whether you had Women's Microblading or Men's Microblading at Browsome Microblading in Doral, this complete aftercare guide will ensure you get the best possible result.
Days 1–2: Immediate Aftercare
Your brows will appear dark, bold, and slightly swollen immediately after the procedure. This is completely normal. Gently blot any lymph fluid with a clean cotton pad every 2–3 hours. Do not wet the area. Sleep on a clean pillowcase and avoid touching your brows with unwashed hands.
Days 3–7: Peeling Phase
The skin will begin to flake and peel. This is part of the healing process — do NOT pick or scratch the peeling skin. Picking removes pigment and can cause scarring. The brows may appear lighter or patchy during this phase. This is temporary.
What to Avoid During the First 10 Days
Avoid water, sweat, and humidity directly on the brow area. Skip workouts, swimming, saunas, and steam rooms. Do not apply makeup, creams, or sunscreen on the treated area. Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds. Do not sleep face-down.
Weeks 2–4: Ghosting Phase
After peeling, your brows may look extremely light or almost invisible. Don't panic — this is called the "ghosting phase" and it's normal. The pigment is settling under a new layer of skin. Your color will return and stabilize over the following weeks.
The Perfection Session at 6–8 Weeks
All microblading services at Browsome include a mandatory Perfection Session 6 to 8 weeks after the initial procedure. By this point your skin is fully healed and Marina can reinforce color, correct any patchiness, and perfect the final result. This session is included in the price of your service.
Long-Term Brow Care
After healing is complete, apply SPF 30+ on your brows daily to protect the pigment from UV fading. Avoid retinol and glycolic acid products directly on the brow area. Touch-up appointments every 12 to 18 months will keep your brows looking fresh.
